Bridgepoint Education, provider of post-secondary education services, has partnered with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE) to send 28 underprivileged students to Sixth Grade Camp.

Bridgepoint’s donation of $10,000 will be used to pay expenses for students at Foussatt Elementary School in the Oceanside Unified School District. Many of the students at Foussatt are the children of active-duty military and would not be able to afford camp without Bridgepoint’s sponsorship.

“A lot of us have fond memories of attending Sixth Grade Camp,” said Bridgepoint Education chief executive officer Andrew Clark. “So to be able to provide that opportunity for San Diego schoolchildren, who might not otherwise be able to attend an Outdoor Education program, is something we feel really good about. We’re pleased to help and support our community in this way.”
